My female Shepherd was one of the smartest ever , I think she may have been smarter than a lot of ppl lol , she was so incredibly well balanced that she would have given her life to protect me but a small child could run around and play with her safely all day , forever Love
They are wonderful dogs!! The best dog I ever had was a german shepherd/ husky rescue. She was off the charts smart, she was loyal and loving, she was super genrle with my 3 young children and I never worried about them playing outside, she never let them out of her sight and believe me she NEVER let a stranger enter our yard, EVER!! PERIOD!! You are right about shedding. I could have knitted a whole litter of puppies! And yes, she did develop hip dysplasia!! I still think about her and miss her after all these many years!! ❤
