I love Tony Stella’s art for these Arrow releases. They capture the vibe of the original art of the era and they also mark a major turning point for the trilogy on home video.
These are the releases of the year IMO.
Ended up selling my Kino copies and ordered the arrow set. Had to wait a long time but it was worth it.
"I'm not an Arrow shill…" That's exactly what an Arrow shill would say… jk 😂 Yeah I haven't found anyone who doesn't like this transfer
There’s a hidden version of the movie, I believe you go to the grotto version of the extended cut and press right and an icon pops up and you choose it to view the film with deleted scenes
The color is still scewed up
I just grabbed the kino one off amazon for 15. Curious how much better the transfer is on the arrow
It took 7 months but we got er done
Excellent review and it’s not just because I totally agree with you. Well, maybe. I know a lot of people say, For a Few Dollars More is the best of the three. I feel it’s better written, but The Good the Bad and the Ugly is just so damn iconic. Shelf space is becoming such a premium for me I’m hoping for something more compact down the road. I must admit the three sets look awesome together!
Thanks
It does look absolutely gorgeous. Great job Arrow!
Do we know if there will be a US release?
i pre-ordered from Amazon, but got the usual runaround, as though it was shipping, but it won't and pressumably never will. But they took until the shipping date to tell me it is delayed (in other words never gonna be in stock again).
I'm glad to see Arrow Video giving movies the right treatment
My favorite overall release of the year!
