  1. Ed specifically has a note saying DON'T join patron just to get a set, that he wants patrons not sales
Edit: correct me if I'm wrong, I would love to buy a second

  2. Our local group had 4-5 constant weekly players. Most of them came from mtg because they were tired of stuff like secret layers. 3 of them dumped their collection because of dragon lord. If the communication was DL was a collector/convention only set then I think folks would not be upset. Honestly it could be the release schedule is a tad to slow and DL was overhyped to shake things up.

  3. The demand of AL was fine.. they just printed it to oblivion. Supply GREATLY outpaced demand. Dragonlord supply SIGNIFICANTLY lacked in regards to demand. They need to figure the curve out fast. Hopefully Gothic but idk if I believe it

  4. I guess overall it is not great that this product is 5-7x in price one week after release and people cant find it … other than spending crazy high prices on Ebay. I got one at msrp so I’m good. Not so good for most people.

  5. We have several local stores that have it but 1 of them is selling them for $330 a box and the other is selling them for $250 a box. The boxes at the $330 one are not moving as best I can tell but I did see several of the $250 ones sell. Just a real feel bad moment with knowing they paid standard distribution prices and the $250 store is the store that our group has been going to and buying stuff from consistently every week for over a year.

  6. Buying a non foil set costs as much as flying to a con, buying a ticket, and paying MSRP for a box, or paying a scalper for a box on ebay. It's not worth it.

  7. These are some really interesting points that are helping me feel less upset about us not getting any at our stores order here in Hobart. My friend Adam was the one I think you noticed going on about our 10 boxes at Good Games being cancelled

  8. I agree this was a win for sorcery! Mini set felt like a secret lair unfortunately not everyone that wants one will get one. It needs to be kept low print run. Here's hoping EC did that

  9. Pretty cool perspective. As someone who couldn’t attend I appreciate the insight on Gencon. Hopefully the game grows from this but I do feel for players who are 100% in and can’t get a single box.

  10. I won't lie, if gothic is like this release im backing away from the game. It's already super niche and has a very small demand in my state. Also The way dragon lord was handled was also a massive smack in the face to the collectors that have been keeping this game alive since the kickstarter…

  11. The distributor bait and switch with this set isn't the first time they've done this with a product. I will completely stand by not knowing when the TC pre-order was going to go live meant far more got in the hands of players/collectors than scalpers. Honestly, if not being able to acquire a box of this mini-set means someone is getting out of Sorcery then they never really liked the game in the first place.
